Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to improving the world one child and one community at a time. The Kiwanis Club of Kalamazoo is dedicated to serving the greater Kalamazoo area through various service and fundraising projects. Our club has been in service to our community for 100 years (on January 17, 2017). We are part of Kiwanis International , an organization serving children for over 100 years.
We raise some money and we work for local nonprofit charities. Children are the primary focus of Kiwanis clubs internationally and they are our primary focus as well. We spend a lot of time helping the folks at Pretty Lake Camp provide an outstanding, week-long summer resident camp to underprivileged children. We provide dictionaries to every third grader in Kalamazoo Public Schools. We hold fundraisers, and do hand-on community service. We are busy and active, but always have fun!
