Guitarist, Composer & Lecturer
Joseph Perkins BMus(Hons) M.A. is a London based jazz/session guitarist, multi-instrumentalist, composer, lecturer and postgraduate from City University of London, with performance tuition from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. He has studied guitar with Scott Henderson (Tribal Tech), Mike Stern (Miles Davis), Wayne Krantz (Steely Dan) and Karl Sanders (Nile). He is currently a visiting lecturer at City University of London .
Joe has performed at BAFTA, Ronnie Scott’s (residency), Vortex Jazz Club, The Jazz Café (supporting Terence Blanchard ), BBC Radio, JazzFM, House of Lords, The Savoy and for members of the Royal Family. Session credits include, Robohands, The X Factor winner, James Arthur , and playing the music of Django Reinhardt in Jessica Swale’s film, Summerland .
