Late have I learned to listen, to rest, to weep, to be. Almost gone are moments to go slow, to reflect, to wonder, to day-sleep. Fleeting is the day for wordless prayers, to pause, to sing, to remember. Late have I learned to turn up the quiet, to speak low, to be small, to love well. “Late have I loved you, beauty, so old and so new: late have I loved you.”
