As you probably have heard, legislators in Texas successfully created a law that has effectively ended abortion in Texas. The law, Senate Bill 8 as it’s known, empowers ordinary citizens to sue anyone who performs or in any way supports abortions that happen anytime after about six weeks, when a fetal heartbeat can be detected.
