John Bridcut is an award-winning film maker, with dozens of varied productions to his name, ranging from politics to history to the arts – in particular, a number of portraits of musicians and composers.
His latest films are for BBC Two. How The BBC Began tells the story of the early years of the BBC through the vivid testimony of some of the pioneers. Two programmes have been broadcast: a third is in production.
His documentary about the life and music of the British composer, Sir Michael Tippett, has now been completed. It will be broadcast on BBC Two in June.
