A proud Buckeye native, I grew up in Dayton, OH, and attended the University of Dayton where I fell in love with the Flyers, great coffee, & building companies that last.
I started as a barista at Flyer Enterprises , one of the largest student-run companies in America, and finished as CEO by the time I graduated in 2011. I was able to lead a team of 200 student employees, drive forward a company that generated over $1.3 million annually, and start two businesses before graduating college. My experience there taught me how to make an awesome latte, and how thrilling it is to build something.
After graduating, I made my way to New York City where I worked at BlackRock in digital product strategy for nearly three years before finding my way back to the startup world at Venture for America (VFA).
