The Dents built the present day Huskisson Pictures as a community hall for the local people in 1913. By the 1930's the large family, men, women and children were involved in all aspects of the Huskisson community. Cricket, tennis, fundraising, peace day celebrations, community dances, school functions, market stalls, members of the family served on the local church committee helping to organise and run many fundraising events.
