Jerry Zimmerman is Professor Emeritus at the Simon School of Business at the University of Rochester, where he taught accounting and economics for over 40 years. He has won numerous awards for his research and teaching. Along with his long-time collaborator Ross Watts at MIT, they created Positive Accounting Theory and co-founded The Journal of Accounting and Economics, one of the most highly cited peer-reviewed journals in economics.
