Hi!  My name is Jared Smith.  I am an assistant professor of finance at North Carolina State University’s Poole College of Management.  I was previously at Clemson University’s College of Business.  My research interests span a variety of topics in corporate finance and economics, including norms, financial policy and capital structure, mergers and acquisitions, and the interaction of law and finance.  I am also interested in market microstructure.
