Description: Research Group led by Dr. Mary Jamieson in the Department of Biological Sciences at Oakland University. Work in the Jamieson Lab aims to support biodiversity through research, education, and community engagement with a focus on plants and their insect pollinators and herbivores. Research focuses on global change biology, conservation biology, chemical ecology, restoration ecology, and agroecology.
We collaborate in research, education, and community engagement projects that aim to support biodiversity conservation, natural resource management, and sustainable agriculture.
We investigate ecological interactions among plants, insects, and microbes. A central theme of this work is to examine how we as humans alter our environment and the effects such changes have on species interactions.
We work together with other community members, students, educators, and researchers to provide a better understanding of how our environment is changing and the effect these changes have on the ecology of plant-insect-microbe interactions.
