Iyengar Yoga New Zealand, IYNZ, was established in 1993 to bring together teachers and students of Iyengar yoga.
IYNZ is part of the world-wide network of Iyengar Yoga Associations that aim to bring together students and teachers who are interested in the work of BKS Iyengar, and to protect, promote and foster his words and teachings. It has also established a thorough Iyengar Yoga Teacher Training programme, as well as managing the assessment procedures for New Zealand Iyengar Yoga teachers.
