Ivy Cottage is a stunning, spacious stone cottage situated in the heart of the peaceful village of Earl Sterndale, five miles from Buxton, Derbyshire and amidst the wonderful countryside of upper Dovedale and the Staffordshire moorlands, with a wealth of walks and cycling routes from the doorstep. Earl Sterndale is often mentioned in magazines as a fantastic place to start walks around the peaks of Chrome and Parkhouse hills - the only real ‘peaks’ of the Peak District.
Ivy Cottage, originally separate cottages dating from the 18th century, has been in our family for over 50 years. We have refurbished the property with a mixture of family antiques and new modern facilities to create one large and wonderful holiday home, ideal for a small group of friends and families. Our aim has been to create an individual atmosphere, more like a home from home than you might find in many holiday properties.
