Island Harvest Food Bank is a leading hunger-relief organization with a mission to end hunger and reduce food waste on Long Island. We accomplish this through efficient food and product collection and distribution systems, enhanced hunger awareness and nutrition education programs, a Workforce Skills Development Institute, targeted services for specific populations, outreach activities and advocacy initiatives.

By now you are aware of the smog and smoke we are seeing in New York and across Long Island. In order to protect the health of our vulnerable neighbors in need, our volunteers, and staff, we are making changes to our distributions and other programs. In many cases we are either cancelling our outdoor distributions or moving them indoors for the time being. We want to keep the people that we serve safe.
