Ironman Lake Placid Triathlon 2019 - A Great Ironman Experience and Fantastic Family Vacation
I competed in and successfully finished the Lake Placid Ironman Triathlon on Sunday, July 28, 2019, my 9th Ironman Triathlon and 8th Ironman Lake Placid.
I have the best support crew in Jenene, Lizzie(14 - just turned 15 ), Angelina(13), Brady(10 ½), and Juliana(8 ½). They all had matching yellow Ironman shirts on that Jenene had made for the family. During the race, they cheered me on 11 times from the start to the finish. The swim, bike and run all consist of 2 loops and each run loop has an 11 mile loop and a 2 mile loop, so the course is very spectator friendly.
