Martyrdom Day (Guru Arjan Dev Ji, apostle of peace): May 25, 2012. Sikh community commemorates the martyrdom of Guru Arjan Dev, the fifth Guru and the first Sikh Martyr who gave his life setting an inspiring example of selflessness and steadfast courage in the face of overwhelming oppression. Guru Arjan Dev Ji compiled and collated the Hymns of the previous Sikh Gurus as the foundation of the Guru Granth Sahib. More details to follow soon...
