The traditional knowledge of our ancestors continues to provide support for all ages and stages of becoming a human being. Inuit elders believe that the values and beliefs that were passed down from their parents and grandparents are beneficial for today’s Inuit parents. Find out what the parents’ and children’s roles, responsibilities, and age-appropriate expectations are for you.
Our Inuit Cultural Online Resource, also known as ICOR, is undergoing some site development. It provides a central resource location for learning about Canadian Inuit culture and traditions. Its purpose is to offer a way of learning about what it means to be Inuit, including some basic vocabulary. Videos are available through this website.
