The Illinois Safe Schools Association is a statewide, non-profit organization of school districts and law enforcement agencies and their personnel who have accepted the challenge to make their schools safer. We offer a communication network of S chool Resource Officers, School Safety Personnel, School Administrators and others dedicated to protecting our children and helping our schools maintain a safe and positive learning environment.
We provide school safety resources to member schools and award annual commendations to schools and school safety leaders across the state for their efforts in maintaining a safe school environment. The awards are in three categories:
