I am a Professor of Statistics in the Department of Statistics at the University of Warwick and Turing Fellow of The Alan Turing Institute , which is the UK’s national institute for data science and artificial intelligence.
I obtained a BSc in Statistics from the Athens University of Economics and Business in 2004. I was then awarded a PhD in Statistics in 2007 from the Department of Statistics at the University of Warwick with a thesis titled “Bias reduction in exponential family nonlinear models” , where I subsequently held an appointment as a CRiSM Research Fellow until 2010.
