As a lamp needs to shine for it’s energy to reach others, it should also stand tall as proof of it’s direction for all humanity- Psalm 119:105 (paraphrased). The seasoning in cast iron is it’s proof of reaching so many from having fed so many. Every layer of love created by the master of the meal left a mark to identify each time it brought nourishment to someone who had a need. If this seasoning is lost, scraped away or neglected, the vessel itself must be born again to a higher station than it was before.
