In 2002 we moved to Alpharetta, GA. At the time the city was predominantly white. My wife had a difficult time finding a hair salon capable of handling black hair. One salon frankly admitted that although they would love to help they just didn't know how to handle black hair. She eventually found a salon that was willing to do the job, and spent all of Saturday afternoon getting her hair done. Sunday her hair was falling out in big clumps.
