About About I am hunger in America “I am Hunger in America” was created to get people to question their perceptions of what hunger looks like. Americans think of hunger as a third world problem, when 40 million of them struggle with it. This misconception is compounded by the fact that it is not easy identifying when someone’s struggling with hunger, making the issue feel all the more distant.
