The Hydro-Fire® Boom is an inflatable, water-cooled system designed for insitu burning (ISB) operations during oil spill response. Elastec Hydro-Fire® Boom holds the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS® title for the “Longest Continuous Burn of Oil Spill at Sea,” which occurred during the Deepwater Horizon incident in the Gulf of Mexico.
Hydro-Fire® Boom is a proven inflatable fire boom. It is a complete system, comprising of 500 ft / 150 m of boom on a powered reel with an integrated air blower, hoses, towing equipment, power pack, and two high-capacity water pumps. Elastec fire-resistant booms have undergone rigorous testing by organizations such as OHMSETT , SUPSALV and U.S. Coast Guard .
