The USA TODAY Best of Humankind Awards honor everyday people showcasing the highest level of kindness, compassion, and perseverance. Each Humankind award recognizes and celebrates an everyday person who is making a difference in their community. In 2021, we recognized and rewarded 11 individuals whose impact was profound, each receiving $1,000 to help further their causes. We are thrilled to again recognize the Best of Humankind for 2022 and YOU will select the winners.
Open nominations will be accepted in July. Finalists will be selected by a diverse advisory board. America will vote for the Best of Humankind this fall. The 2022 Best of Humankind winners will be revealed in a special awards show premiering this winter.
