We feel we are very lucky to live all year round in our home ! It is a three floor traditional french style 19th century house (300M 2 ), just on the border of the Seine river situated in a very cute and charming little village. Our house is very well exposed, clear and sunny with Seine views from almost every room. We have a large wooden deck terrace bathed with sun including a spa, barbecue, table tennis, bicycles and other commodities. All year round our house has more the style of a holiday family house
Samois is famous for its International Jazz Festival as Django Reinhardt lived in Samois. Its situation near Paris, Fontainebleau , Vaux-le-Vicomte , the Loire valley makes it a very convenient and interesting place to be for tourism in the Ile de France and Paris area. A train takes you in 35 mn time to the center of Paris so you can take advantage of all the city entertainment but when you need nature and rest, you enjoy the large Fontainebleau forest to hike, VTT bike ride or climb on rocks…row on
Our house is on the “quai” in Bas Samois, just on the border of an “arm” of the Seine river meaning that we have a view on a small island in front and sharing the activity on this part that is little tourism activity with small boats staying for a night or two coming from anywhere in the world. All the industrial traffic of river boats being behind the island so we have no nuisance at all but just the pleasure of having “passengers” next door. Our direct neighbors are English speaking people on both sides,
