High West Outfitters was founded in 2010 by West Texas Native, Jim Breck Bean. The company was originally a hobby which quickly turned into a dream. We started with a few family owned ranches and began to spread a bit in 2012. By 2013 the company had started being recognized, and was somewhere around 100,000 acres. 2015/16 were the leap years for HWO, Jim Breck had finished what he was going to do in college and was leasing everything he could get his hands on.
