Having started learning the ‘cello at the Minster School Junior Department aged nine, Sarah continued her studies with Sue Lowe in York. Sarah toured to America, Canada, Edinburgh and Cyprus with the Nottingham Youth Orchestra and also performed the Saint-SaŃ‘ns ‘Cello Concerto with them on tour in Austria and Hungary. After gaining a place on the performance course at the Royal College of Music Sarah performed the Dohnanyi Konzertstuck with the orchestra in Southwell Minster.

At the RCM, Sarah was chosen to represent the college at the Mendelssohn on Mull Festival. Performance highlights include performing Tchaikovsky’s Souvenir de Florence with Gordon Nicolitch, leader of the LSO, and recording Don Juan under Andrew Litton. Sarah has played with the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra, the London Concert Orchestra, the BBC Symphony Orchestra and many orchestras and ensembles closer to her home in Southwell, Nottinghamshire.
