HiBarSens® features three measurement modes. Any of them fulfil the mandatory steady-state measurement condition. In addition to the conventional Carrier Gas Mode , which uses a carrier gas flow through the permeation cell, high performance modes can be easily applied, especially for ultra-high barrier films (<<10-4 g m-2 d-1). In Diffusion Mode , permeate transport is driven by diffusion only. In Combination Mode , a permeate accumulation phase alternates with a carrier gas phase.
