H.E.R.O.E.S During the summer of 2005, in the wake of statewide education funding cuts, a determined group of special education teachers and parents saw a lack of opportunity for those with special needs to be involved in the community. Taking matters into their own hands, they partnered with First United Methodist Church Richardson for a weeklong day camp with just five students.
