I’m Heather Luipold, a designer in New York working at the Google Creative Lab. We’re a small group of designers, engineers, writers, filmmakers and thinkers who experiment on non-traditional product concepts and ways to help connect people with our products. Very simply, we work to “get the toys to the kids.” I lead a team at the Lab who focus on product visioning & experimentation.
In recognition of Sexual Assault Awareness Month, we launched Me Too Rising, a visualization of the global Me Too movement through Google Trends data. We partnered with Tarana Burke , founder of the movement, to show how a simple statement of empathy from one survivor to another is changing how the world is listening to survivors of sexual violence, assault and harassment.
