Touch in the Greek is "haptÅ" which means to fasten to, make adhere to; hence, specifically to fasten fire to a thing, to kindle, set on fire. Jesus wants to reach out and touch the hearts of men, to turn them toward the Father in Heaven. As long as we live in a fallen world, we all face things that affect our hearts.
Jesus was consumed with the Father, he walked using a heavenly mindset and was not bothered by anything of this world. He even rebuked the wind and waves when it stormed. We are also called to walk like Jesus did, to do the same work as Jesus did, to touch the world for the Father and expose His love for all mankind.
