Welcome to the Historic Archaeological Research (HAR) web site. HAR was formed in 1993 by two Archaeologists and an RF Engineer to provide specialized technical support to cultural resource management firms, civil engineering and environmental companies, academic institutions and other entities engaged in or requiring archaeological services. HAR may be employed to assist in all phases of research and archaeological investigation including state and or federally regulated compliance projects.
The company has directed or cooperated on projects in Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, Ohio, Michigan, Missouri and Wisconsin. From the onset, HAR has endeavored to provide our employers and clientele cost effective and competent technical services with the completion of projects on time, and within budget constraints foremost in mind.
Over the last thirty years, HAR personnel have been involved in numerous projects requiring expertise in systematic metal artifact detection, precision survey, site mapping and documentation; as well as, analysis of historical period archaeological sites including 18th and 19th century battlefields, military encampments, pioneer cemeteries, homesteads and Native American villages.
