These objects have an immense influence on how we experience the world and are often taken for granted. With her project “Stages of the ordinary”, Hanna shines a new light on pre-industrial ornamental products, with the intention of sharing their forgotten communicative potential and their functionality.
She present an ongoing project that approaches ornament from multiple perspectives, ranging from decorative to practical. Amongst others, this project has resulted in a contemporary reinterpretation of a coffee pot, that had a coffee pot from the Rijksmuseum (Amsterdam, NL) as a starting point. This new interpretation has both decorative as practical value.
