Hammett Asphalt Paving Inc's history of excellence started in 1945 when the company was founded by Harold J. Hammett . Back then, it was known as Harold J. Hammett Asphalt Paving before his son, Wilbur joined the business in 1951 and it was then renamed to Harold Hammett and Son Asphalt Paving.
The company merged in 1971 and changed its name to Hammett Asphalt Paving Inc as known to this day. Harold Hammett passed in 1973 with Wilbur taking his place in running the business.
Wilbur’s sons, Jeff and Jerry, have joined in managing and running the company. To this day, the fourth generation of Hammett’s are helping with day to day operations of the company, providing the same consistent excellence that Harold. J. Hammett started.
