GCT develops and markets a novel low-temperature direct air capture technology operating at unprecedented energy efficiency. The process consists of three main steps: (1) absorption in a liquid sorbent solution, (2) precipitation as hydrogen carbonate, and (3) desorption by either through alkaline water electrolysis, which produces hydrogen as a by-product, or through thermal, low calorific waste heat.
