The Greater Metro Conference is a high school athletic conference which consists of ten schools near Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The conference was formed in 1997 and is recognized as one of the best in the State of Wisconsin both in terms of academics and athletics. Even in its infancy, the Conference established itself as a preeminent collection of some of the best high schools in Wisconsin. The GMC is a place where the pursuit of academic excellence is the definitive goal.
The Conference’s work ethic and strong values have translated into enormous success in its 22 years. There has never been a year during the existence of the Conference that a GMC team has not won a WIAA state title.
