July 09, 2021 The site has taken another technological beating. A few weeks ago I found that the software I was using to build the blog updated in a way that turned the site to soup. Again.
The site has gone through three different tools since I started it in 2008. After spending a day trying to get it back up, I decided to sit down and think about what I was doing.
Moving to a new blogging platform isn't like buying a new pen and paper, it's a Ship of Theseus , and making another move was going to rip out more parts. A blog isn't a paper journal, it's a bunch of technology that simulates a journal.
