The state of Illinois has created targeted relief programs for three distinct types of businesses: restaurants, bars, and taverns; hotels, motels, and inns; and creative arts. Applications will be accepted via an online portal between April 5 and May 10, 2023. To qualify, businesses must have been established prior to March 12, 2020, and still be in operation today. Below is a summary of the three programs: B2B Restaurants $50M in total awards with grants between $5K – $50K Open to restaurants, bars, food trucks, caterers, breweries, wineries, etc. *Must have 50 or fewer employees *Must be properly and currently licensed to serve food/drink
B2B Hotels $75M in total awards, with each applicant receiving $1500 per room *Open to hotels, motels, inns, and other types of lodging *Vacation and short-term rentals are ineligible
