Lt. Kamal Kumar Chatterjee was one of the founder member of our club, in the year 1952. Lt. Kamal Kumar Chatterjee, Lt. Samir Chakroborty, Lt. Panna Lal Bose, Lt. Sunil Kr Banerjee, Mr. Sushil kr Ghosh, and may more formed a small club which was made of mud later they repair and renovated it with brick and named it “ SANGHA MITRA ” . He was the only member who at the age of 78, again gave the idea of renovation and supported us to make a two storied building.
G orabazar Sangha Mitra Club (Dum Dum Cantonment) , believes that self-reliance is the foundation of all social services. It has captured the initiative on several fronts without being dependent on government sponsorship or state-run schemes.
