The disabled community often encounters marginalization, prejudice, discrimination, and social isolation, leading to adverse effects on their mental health. Studies indicate that over two-thirds (70%) of disabled individuals experience mental health challenges due to social isolation. As a part of our efforts to promote awareness, social interaction, and provide mental and physical benefits, we aim to leverage figure skating as an activity for these purposes.
