There have been a few changes since Giuseppe got his first job at the restaurant 35 years ago, but what hasn’t changed is our love of authentic Italian cooking.
Originally “Marco’s” after Marco Berni of the “Berni Inns” Family, the restaurant opened in 1961. One of Bristol’s most Famous families, the Bernis created Britain’s earliest iconic restaurant chain, starting it from venues like the Rummer, Hole in the Wall and Horts in Bristol’s Old City.
After Giuseppe ran the restaurant for 35 years, Marco offered it to him, to carry on Bristol’s oldest Italian food tradition.
