Since 2013, Gil has been co-convening the successful Social Network Analysis in Scotland (SNAS) Research Group with colleagues from other Scottish Universitiesis. He is an associate researcher with the Centre for Research on Families and Relationships ( CRFR ), the Edinburgh Q-Step centre and the Research Training Centre based in the School of Social and Political Science.
After two masters degrees in physics and sociology, Gil did his PhD at the University of Geneva on the impact of spatial mobility on family and intimate relationships.
