Several people have asked us about dress code for the wedding. The short answer is: no black tie or ball gowns and no sweat pants or running shoes. Everything in between is fine, including but not limited to suits, kilts, dresses and hats.

Because Cartmel is a small village we were not able to find a single hotel for wedding accommodations. Instead, we have reserved several cottages in the centre of the village and a small number of hotel rooms above the restaurant where the reception will be held.
