My wife says it was my warm telephone voice that convinced her to go out with me--at least once. Hey, you have to start somewhere...I've been talking to her ever since--most of the time! I try to remember that "phone moment" as I stand in a semi-dark studio speaking into an impersonal microphone. It reminds me that voiceovers are the art of talking to people in a personal way.
My job is to make you comfortable--help you enjoy the moment, the message, the feeling. I don't think you can make people feel very comfortable with your words, unless you're comfortable with yourself, and can draw from what you have inside to "Get The Word Out!"
