Clinical trials arrived in Poland at the end of the 90’s last century. Simultaneously higher standard of medical care, modern and alternative methods of treatment were introduced.
At the same time International Clinical Research Organizations (CRO) started operating in Polish market. Young doctor, pharmacists and biologists begun learning new profession – Clinical Research Associate (CRA). Also, The Bioethical Committees and Central Register of Clinical Trials Data were set up. Today, it is named The Office for Registration of Medicinal Products, Medical Devices and Biocidal Products.
