A three-month immersive engagement in Israel
It seems that dying alone is a pretty common fear, at least many singletons joke about it particularly around Valentines’s Day. For me its one of my biggest fears. So much so that I sometimes hope I die in my 80’s, so I don’t outlive my family, friends, or children. And I think that’s why the story of Margalit Zinati struck me so hard.
We spent the day hiking to Peki’in, a unique village in northern Israel – remarkably home to Druze, Muslims, Christians, and Jews. Today, most of the people living there are Druze, with small Muslim and Christian populations, and 9 Jews. Yes. nine.
