This quote is attributed to CIA Director William Casey by acting White House Policy Analyst Barbara Honegger, during a February 1981 meeting in the Roosevelt Room of the White House. Honegger was acting in the role of Assistant Chief of Domestic Policy Adviser to President John F. Kennedy. She relayed this conversation to her Godmother, Senior White House Correspondent Sarah McClendon, who then made the quote public during a radio program hosted by Mae Brussel.
