Competition isn’t a bad word. It keeps us innovating. Many of my photographer friends ARE my direct competition. You are in charge of deciding what that means. I know I am the only me, so the competition really lies between 2022 Fiona and 2023 Fiona.
Being “better” turns into being more profitable, being a better communicator, trying a new strategy, attempting new creative ways of shooting. Allllll of that has nothing to do with the photographer down the road. That photographer and I can live in the same city and be “competitors” for business in our town and still be friends.”
