I am a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Centre for Development and the Environment at the University of Oslo, where I study global health financing. I have a special interest in economic anthropology, development studies and research methods.
Previously, I have worked as Affiliated Lecturer at the Anthropology Department of the University of Cambridge , as Senior Research Fellow of Global Health at the University of Edinburgh (with the global health governance programme , and the TIBA research programme ) and as Affiliated Lecturer on Economic Anthropology at the State University of Haiti . My work has been financed by the Heinrich Böll Foundation , the German National Merit Foundation , the Wellcome Trust and the Wenner-Grenn Foundation .
I occasionally work as independent development consultant. In fact, I wrote a book about consulting, entitled Work, sleep, repeat - the abstract labour of German management consultants . Published by Bloomsbury in 2017 . It won the 2015 APLA student paper prize and the LSE Monographs Bloomsbury First Book Competition . Recent work of mine has been nominated for the Chr. Michelsen prize for outstanding development research in 2022.
