When a whistleblower is blacklisted on Wall St, she takes a banking job helping the rural poor in Hope, Arkansas. But the town is divided as to whether her innovative program is a handout or a helping hand. When corrupt local officials pull out all the stops to end it, she must decide once again if she's willing to again risk everything for the good fight.
Faith & Credit is inspired by real-life events. In 1988 Hillary Clinton, the First Lady of Arkansas, established the Good Faith Fund in Hope, Arkansas, to specifically provide credit and loans to the state’s rural working poor.
By giving these “unbanked” individuals access to basic financial services, microfinance decreases their dependency on predatory lenders and empowers them to increase their wealth and lift themselves and their families out of poverty.
