Erin Malia Haywood comes from a local family who has loved the Maui lifestyle for generations. Her family story started in the 1940's when her grandparents decided to leave Montana and venture out to exotic, rural Maui. Her family has been on the island ever since. Erin was born and raised in Wailuku, learned to surf at Laniuopoko beach, Lahaina, graduated from Seabury Hall, Makawao and enjoyed cook outs at her grandparents house in Kula.
